The jurisdiction of PO Shimla extends over the entire State of Himachal Pradesh.We provide passport services to
all applicant who can produce proof of residence of Himachal Pradesh. The Jurisdiction of Passport Office Shimla
caters to twelve districts viz Shimla, Kangra, Chamba, Kullu, Sirmour, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Mandi, Lahaul and Spiti,
Kinnaur, Solan, Una.

In the case of students enrolled in Educational Institutions in Himachal Pradesh,a Certificate from the concerned
institution on institutions letter head pad with proof of bank account will suffice to got passport issued from Passport
Office Shimla.

We suggest that applicants from the Shimla region submit their applications at Passport Office Shimla. This will help
us to reduce congestion at our premises and provide better services to tatkaal applicants and those who come from
far away districts.

Non-tatkaal applicants from the districts are advised to submit their applications wherever possible through the District
Passport Cells, in order to avoid long journeys to Shimla.
